Minimalistic Japanese SPA with a Forest View | Yasuragi

I love places that make me feel like I've been refilled with new energy and inspiration. In Stockholm, there's one such place — Yasuragi.

Yasuragi is a traditional Japanese SPA hotel with a view of Stockholm's entire archipelago. The hotel itself is minimalist and relaxing, with nothing but the essentials: a bed, a bathtub, and some beautiful art. But what makes it truly special is the serenity and peace you feel when you're there—it's amazing how much joy you can find in just being still for a few hours!

YASURAGI SHOP

In Yasuragi at the main entrance, you will find a large selection of unique products: Nordic Ecolabelled product series with a washing soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Here you will also find the skincare brand Hada, which is used in all our treatments. Hada can also be purchased through our online store - Yasuragi Shop

YUKATA

Just like in a Japanese onsen, you can borrow a cotton coat - yukata. Every visitor is wearing yukata during the stay, in the baths, during activities and treatments as well as when eating their meals.

It gives the feeling that you are in a certain unique atmosphere far from the city center, in some separate world. I also think this emphasizes the aesthetics of the interior and the place as a whole.

The Yukatan is specifically designed for Yasuragi and is adorned with the ancient Japanese pattern Asanoha, which is a geometric pattern depicting hemp leaves. In Japanese culture, hemp represents growth and good health and that conveys the Yasuragi philosophy.

JAPANESE BATH

A Japanese bath is a place for stillness and recovery, therefore there are certain rules of conduct that are partly derived from Japanese bathing culture and that exist for all our guests to enjoy and have an experience that calms body and mind.

There is a total ban on photos and mobile phones. This applies to all digital tools, including tablets. In order for the nervous system to have a chance to get in balance, it is necessary to sometimes turn off the digital and be present with what is here and now.

YASURAGI EFFECT

The Japanese word Yasuragi can be translated as the deep beautiful exhalation you make when you let go and relax. For example, when, after washing yourself in the Japanese way, you slowly sink into a hot spring. You breathe out!

SIMPLE AESTHETIC

Everything that Yasuragi offers in the form of simple aesthetic, hot and cold baths, saunas, meditation, and other beneficial activities aims to calm the nervous system. Not to forget the proximity to nature. I definitely recommend Yasuragi to anyone who wants to relax in baths and be inspired by Japanese minimalistic design and simple aesthetics www.yasuragi.se
